SpaceXSI combines Grok, Cursor and X Premium

The new X Subscription puts AI chat, coding tools and X perks under one plan, with five tiers that reserve the latest Grok models for paid users.

SpaceX Super Intelligence, now known as SpaceXSI, has bundled X Premium, Grok and Cursor into a single paid offering called The X Subscription. The company is trying to make its services easier to buy — and potentially more appealing than separate plans — as paid AI products compete for attention. The change also gives SpaceXSI a way to sell a broader package instead of depending on each service to draw subscribers on its own.

The bundle stands out because it mixes social media perks, AI chat features and coding tools under one billing plan. For users, that could mean a simpler way to access several products at once. For the company, it is a clearer push toward an all-in-one subscription model.

The new X Subscription folds several products into one plan

Under The X Subscription, users get access to Grok for AI-powered chat, including support for voice, images, video and the API. The bundle also includes Grok’s agentic AI Bot, Cursor for AI coding, and the paid features that come with X Premium.

Those X Premium features include the blue verified checkmark, creator tools and fewer ads. So this is not just an AI package. It also pulls in the platform benefits that X subscribers already pay for.

The company’s pitch is fairly direct: a combined offer may be easier to sell than several separate subscriptions. SpaceXSI said the bundle could potentially attract more subscribers than any single product on its own, especially as it competes with paid AI offerings from OpenAI, Anthropic and others.

Five pricing tiers raise AI limits as users pay more

The X Subscription comes in five plans: free, Plus at $8 per month, Premium at $30 per month, Super at $100 per month and Ultra at $200 per month. As users move up the tiers, AI usage caps increase, according to IT-PUB News.

The free plan is limited, offering only restricted chat and agent usage. Access to the latest Grok models requires Premium or a higher tier, which keeps the most advanced features for paying users on the upper plans.

That pricing structure suggests SpaceXSI is trying to reach several types of customers at once. Casual users can start lower, while people who need heavier AI access are pushed toward the more expensive options.

Existing X Premium+ users are being offered a softer transition

SpaceXSI also pointed to a detail likely to matter to current subscribers: the comparable plan in the new X Subscription costs the same or less than the existing X Premium+ option, the company said.

That makes the shift feel less abrupt for people already paying for premium access on X. Rather than presenting the bundle as a separate new product with a higher price, SpaceXSI is framing it as something that can match or undercut what some users already spend.

Users are not being forced to switch. Existing subscribers can move from their subscription settings on X to upgrade to the new bundle or keep their current plan. The upgrade option will roll out gradually, so anyone interested will need to watch their billing settings for the offer.

SpaceXSI is using bundling to compete for AI subscribers

The bundle is drawing attention largely because of the crowded market for paid AI subscriptions. Instead of selling each product on its own, SpaceXSI is trying to stand out by packaging several services together.

That could appeal to people who already use X and want AI tools alongside platform perks in one place. It may also cut down on the hassle of managing multiple subscriptions. At the same time, the setup makes clear that the strongest features sit behind higher-priced tiers, which could limit access for more casual users.

The move also reflects a broader shift in how AI services are sold. Rather than offering a single chatbot or one isolated tool, companies are increasingly building AI into larger subscription ecosystems. For users, that can mean convenience — but also more pressure to pay more for the full set of features.

For now, SpaceXSI is betting that The X Subscription will be easier to grasp and more compelling than separate plans for X Premium, Grok and Cursor. The real test will come as the upgrade option rolls out and users decide whether the bundle is worth it.
